सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 10‑11 अक्टूबर को बाल न्याय (2015) के दशक‑उपरांत परामर्श सभा का उद्घाटन किया
नई दिल्ली में सुप्रीम कोर्ट की ज्यूवेनाइल जस्टिस समिति और यूनीसेफ़ की साझेदारी से 10 और 11 अक्टूबर को दो‑दिन का राष्ट्रीय परामर्श आयोजित किया जाएगा, जिसमें 2015‑2026 अवधि में अधिनियम के कार्यान्वयन की समीक्षा और भविष्य की प्राथमिकताओं पर चर्चा होगी। मुख्य न्यायाधीश सौर्य कांत के उद्घाटन पर न्यायमूर्ति बी.वी. नगरथना, यूनीसेफ़ की प्रतिनिधि और अन्य प्रमुख अधिकारी बच्चों के अधिकार, अपराधी बच्चों की प्रारम्भिक जांच, गोद लेन‑देने, संस्थागत देखभाल और पुनर्वास जैसे मुद्दों पर विचार करेंगे।

The Supreme Court will inaugurate a two-day national consultation on “Ten Years of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015: Progress, Challenges and Priorities for the Next Decade” on 10 October 2026 in New Delhi. Organised by the Supreme Court’s Juvenile Justice Committee in association with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the consultation will review the implementation of the Act and identify priorities for strengthening juvenile justice and child protection.
Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, will inaugurate the consultation. The inaugural session will feature remarks by Justice B.V. Nagarathna, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Chairperson of the Juvenile Justice Committee, and Cynthia McCaffrey, Country Representative, UNICEF India. The Chief Justice of India will also release a compendium of landmark Supreme Court and High Court judgments on the Act covering the period from 2015 to September 2026.
The two-day deliberations will address the rights of children in conflict with the law, preliminary assessment in heinous offences, adoption, institutional care, rehabilitation and implementation challenges across States and Union Territories.
The consultation will conclude on 11 October with a valedictory session featuring remarks by representatives of UNICEF India and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, followed by closing remarks from Justice J.B. Pardiwala, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Member of the Juvenile Justice Committee.
